Stocking Our Needle Binder
As this is quite a complex item to stock, since customers can customize it based on their unique needle collection, see below for suggestions to help you optimize your order.
Option 1: Smart Stocking
We would recommend to stock Binder Shells, Fixed Circular, DPN and Project Pages as well as 1-2 interchangeables page types and take preorders on bespoke interchangeables pages for customers to complete their kit. Due to the large number of interchangeable page options across the needle sets (x2 for whiskey/chocolate), we wouldn't recommend attempting to cover a broad range of pages without having customer requests for them, as they may take a while to sell through.
To help you manage your binder stock efficiently, we recommend applying the following guidelines:
- Size preference is 70/30 Jumbo/Regular
- Colour preference is 60/40 Whiskey/Chocolate
- Vast majority of binder shells are purchased with at least one of each Fixed Circular and DPN page in the respective colour
- Over half of binder shells are purchased with a Project Page (new as of Sep '22)
- The most popular Interchangeables page is the Chiaogoo Complete
- 40% of binder customers purchase a set of Needle Size Markers in size Small

Option 2: Carry No Stock & Take Preorders
If you're on a budget or unsure of the level of interest in the Needle Binder, we would recommend to get an in-store sample kit to display in your shop and take preorders from your customers for bespoke binder kits.
The Needle Binder Store Sample Bundle contains:
- Regular size binder shell
- a DPN Page
- a Fixed Circular Page
- a Chiaogoo Complete Page and 1 set of Small Needle Size Markers.
If taking preorders, we recommend to advise your customers that it may take up to 8 weeks for them to receive their items. We aim to carry sufficient stock levels to be able to ship your binder orders within our 2 week wholesale shipping window, but if some pieces require production, it may add up to a month of additional wait time. We recommend to submit your customer preorders as they come in, instead of waiting to bundle them all together. We will consolidate shipments on our end. Knowing the demand for binder bits as early as possible will help us allocate stock to meet preorder timelines and reduce wait time for your customers.
